Who most inspires/influences you currently and why?

Other people. Letting yourself able to listen to stories with empathy and respect makes you open to creativity and gives you the drive to release that in your art.

What is your favorite film of all time?

Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit.

As a creator, what do you find to be the thing that most drives you?

This is a complex question that I am still looking to figure out. I think there is an energy that every artist acquires that they need to release in a way.

What inspired you in how you went about this project?

Kyla’s vision to make the setup of the video as a video game was the starting point and then I followed that and made sure that it fought with her aesthetic and that of the song. We wanted to be a real-life video game vibe and tried to balance the sci-fi with an organic aspect.

What was the most fun portion of this entire production?

The creativity in the editing room! I was able to try things and see if they work. The post-production part has its own magic for me.

Thank you so much for being a part of The Film Festival Network Community, Kelly! We can’t wait to see what you do next.

Keep up with Kelly and all her incredible work to come!
